Photography Essay

The value of the image is determined by its color, its uniqueness, charm, and also practical meaning. If the power of the photograph is so great, that it can make people think over something, or compare or connect themselves with the objects depicted on it, it is regarded as a very valuable thing. We need to remember, that every image has a story to tell, and it shouldn’t be neglected.

To take a good photograph, a person doesn’t need to put much effort. He or she only has to find the perfect light, background and add a little creativity. But depending on a target audience, you will need to take into account some more aspects. For some people, the shooting time or locations would be enough to make a conclusion on the photograph. To sum up, different people see the photographs in different ways.

I arrived here in February and already from the first class I changed my point of view on photography, you have to be careful of every detail. At the beginning of the year I thought that a beautiful photograph should only have a beautiful subject to frame or a beautiful view, but in reality it is not so, because we must consider the lights, the background, the colours. From today onwards I will begin to consider background lights and colours to make my photos better and of course the protagonist of the photo. 
I think the background is fundamental, you have to always be careful what's behind your subject trying to get it noticed as much as possible. The lights, in turn, are important because if a photo were to come too dark, you would not see well the subject nor the background, so you should always take bright photos. The colors are a decisive but subjective element, by changing the colors you can find many combinations, but it depends on you which one you will use. Personally, I don't tend too much to modify the photos using particular effects or by increasing the brightness, I like to leave it in its simplicity, perhaps by retouching just a little bit.
If, in the future, I have the possibility to take photography again, I would like to concentrate and learn more about videos and their montages. Here I had the chance to edit, cut and shoot several videos and I had a lot of fun, but I know I still have a lot to learn about the editing and the special affects.
